Here is an updated photo of our grandson Tyler he has just learned to walk.

Google Docs looks pretty good, I have started a shopping list and will have to get everyone in the house to add to it. I shall make a point only to buy what is on the list - think the children will have to start having some input into the shopping it will be good training for the future! Not sure where I'll use google docs in the library

Had a look at the mashup module but still cant think of two web sites that I would like to join. I will revist this site and spend more time exploring at a later date. Just want to get to the end of the training it certainly is a eye opener.

Listened to some podcasts tonight they could be useful for book clubs although the one I listened to put me to sleep!

Answered a couple of questions on answer board wow its amazing what people want to know. I always seem to spend longer than I mean to reading all the information not sure I will use this segment again but its great to know its out there.

I'm determined to finish 23 things before the deadline so will spend a bit more time this week catching up. I have opened an account with library thing and loaded a few books that I have read recently. It is a great place to keep a list of books that you have enjoyed reading. I also liked reading some of the comments that other people have left.

Well it has been a long time since I last posted a blog. Last week I was visiting my Mum and Sister in South Australia. I had a great holiday it was very relaxing. My sister has her own horse which I rode most days whilst I was staying with her.
I had a bit of an encounter with the wildlife when a 4 foot brown snake appeared out of the horses feed bin. Needless to say I moved very quickly out of his way!
My sister had already had the snake catcher out the week before - he charged $120 and didn't even find the snake. Apparently that snake was larger than the one I saw! I have started looking at 23things again tonight and thought library thing will be a very handy tool.

Hope you enjoyed the video. Libraries could use videos as we are now for training purposes. All training days could be placed on a library blog for staff to access also would be good to recap as I think we miss a lot of information first time round.

Finally, I have got time to revisit 23 things. Had a look at wikis and they are a great place to store info. Libraries could use them to keep up to date with new ideas, everyone would be able to access the information and also add their personal experience. Wetpaint looks so easy to use compared with wikipedia.

looking at rss

I have been looking at RSS and like the google reader account better than bloglines so will probably delete bloglines later. I like the idea of only having to log in to one account to read all the updated material. I have subscribed to a few sites and will add to these shortly. Its a great way to receive updated info without having to go to several sites.

p.s. I posted a comment in reply to Kaths comment left on my blog and thought that it would only be displayed on her blog but it was shown on mine does anyone know how to get the message to only display on the persons blog who left the comment?

Our Grandson

Here is a photo of our Grandson, Tyler James. He was born on December 31st, 2007 in Townsville. We will be going to Townsville for his christening early October. We have also had good news that Kathryn and Darren will be coming to Brisbane in 2009 so Mike and I will be able to practise our Grandparent skills and babysit every chance we get.

Had a look at flickr tonight and it looks great wish I had more time to sit and download some photos. Will have to come back to it later. We may get some time at work tomorrow to have another look at the site and maybe open a group account.

just set this up and realise all the things that I dont know. So I am happy to be part of 23 things and hope to be able to keep up with the teenagers that lurk in my house.
